Rogers FINALLY announced that they have struck a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada by the end of this year…
I recognize that there is still a ton of pent-up demand for the iPhone but I wonder if the long delay in launching here will have taken some of the steam out…
Getting another XO laptop?
Apparently the OLPC team are WAY behind in issuing shipment tracking notices to Canadian recipients of the XO laptop. Case in point, I received an email from OLPC Customer Care yesterday providing me with a tracking number for my shipment. The only problem is that I received my XO back on January 15th!

As of you today you can finally buy the “One Laptop Per Child” (OLPC) but you have to buy two at a time. One is sent to a child in a developing nation and the other to you. This promotion is only available until November 26th.

Neglected Computer…
My poor Dell computer sits downstairs all alone this week as I have been using my iPod Touch not just as a mp3 player but rather as my main gateway to the internet this week… the built in wifi is so great!
Case in point, I’m writing this post using my iPod Touch…
Time to Upgrade?
The new iPod Touch makes my old 4th generation iPod look like a rock…perhaps an upgrade is in my future…
Microsoft launches a Table?
Microsoft launched an interesting concept today called Surface. It’s basically a digitized table that allows people to interact with content using their bare hands–no mouse, no keyboard. I just watched a quick demo of the technology on their website and it obviously has some interesting potential–but as with all “new” tech it’s the consumer that will decide if it lives or dies.

A recent post on Gizmodo semi-confirms the suspicion that Rogers will be the first (if not only) carrier in Canada to launch the iPhone. All we need now is a launch date and I’ll be waiting in line to pick one up.
