Catch-Up Post…La Leche League…Lively…Storkcraft
Congratulations to Monica on completing her leadership accreditation process with La Leche League Canada! For those that are unfamiliar with La Leche League–LLLC offers breastfeeding information and support, based on research and experience,to give babies the very best start.
Next update is from Lively Cup this past weekend in Collingwood. We entered as two-time defending champions and hoped to take home the Lively Cup again for an unprecedented THREE-PEAT win… our Snuggie Cult was fantastic and according to a close source the judges were leaning towards awarding us the Lively Cup again…but decided that a three-time winner would discourage future competitors??? Huh… we did get a “pity” award though as Cletus took home the Hot Dawg award for best fall into the “pond” while managing to splash about 15 people immediately adjacent to his fall. The photos are currently uploading so I’ll be adding a photo link later tonight.
Final update…the oft-delayed replacement parts for our recalled Storkcraft Crib FINALLY arrived today…
Storkcraft Recall – Part II
So back on January 14th I posted about the voluntary recall issued by Storkcraft cribs that essentially affected over 1 million cribs sold since 2000. Before I actually wrote that post I had gone to the Storkcraft website to request my replacement brackets to retrofit the crib we’ve had since Braden was born. Now I recognize that Storkcraft is a relatively small business based in BC, but I do find it ridiculous that only today did I actually receive an ACKNOWLDGEMENT of my request for the replacement parts… that is an entire month after I submitted the form on their site!!!
Stork Craft Crib Recall…
FYI for all the parents out there…Stork Craft cribs (the major brand sold in all Toys R Us/Babies R Us, Sears, etc) are under recall.
Simply visit their website to request replacement brackets to retrofit your crib. Since this recall affects approximately 1 millions cribs sold since 2000 it appears that their website is buckling under the number of requests but it should get better shortly so keep trying.
